On June 24, 2026, the State Institution “The Institute of Environmental Geochemistry of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” was held elections for the Institute’s director. The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine received documents from one applicant – Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. Zabulonov Yu.L.
As of June 24, 2026, the actual number of scientific workers at the Institute of Geophysics and Geophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is 94 people. The meeting of the collective of scientific workers of the institution, in accordance with clause 3.12.3. of the Statute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, is authorized to hold elections for the head of the institution if at least two-thirds of the actual number of full-time scientific workers, namely 63 people, are present at the meeting. 79 scientific workers registered before the meeting.
94 ballots were made for secret voting, 79 ballots were distributed. When the ballot box was opened, 79 ballots were found in it.
The results of the secret ballot for the election of the head (director) of the State Institution “IGNS NAS of Ukraine”:
Zabulonov Yuriy Leonidovich:

– invalid ballots – 2
According to the results of the secret ballot and clause 3.12.4 of the Statute of the NAS of Ukraine, Zabulonov Yuriy Leonidovich, who received at least two-thirds of the votes of the voters, is considered elected to the position of director of the State Institution “IGNS NAS of Ukraine”. Namely: 77 votes.
