The event was timed to coincide with the World Science Day for Peace and Development, initiated by UNESCO, as well as the Science Day in Ukraine — holidays that emphasize the role of scientific knowledge in the sustainable development of humanity, strengthening peace, and forming an environmentally responsible society.
Representatives of various institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, higher education institutions, and research centers participated in the conference.
Postgraduate students, young scientists, and students demonstrated active participation, presenting the results of their own research in the fields of geochemistry, geoecology, environmental safety, environmental monitoring technologies, radioactive waste management, and sustainable nature management.
During the plenary and sectional meetings, topical issues of human impact on the environment, geochemical aspects of technogenesis, integration of IT technologies into natural science research, as well as prospects for the development of interdisciplinary scientific approaches were discussed.
The participants emphasized that such events are an important platform for supporting young scientists, exchanging experience and forming communities capable of combining knowledge from different scientific areas to solve the environmental and technological challenges of our time.
On behalf of the conference organizers – the staff of the Institute of Environmental Geochemistry of the NAS of Ukraine – gratitude was expressed to all participants, scientific supervisors, teachers and colleagues for fruitful cooperation, inspiration and dedication to science.
