On August 26-29, 2020, one of the largest Ukrainian annual scientific events took place in Lviv – the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials” (NANO-2020). This year’s conference was organized by the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Lviv Polytechnic National University, University of Turin (Italy), Pierre and Marie Curie University (France), University of Tartu (Estonia) and the Representation of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kyiv.
The highlight of the conference was the online speech of Roald Hoffman, a 1981 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Professor of Cornell University (USA), “Small but Strong Lessens from Chemistry for Nanoscience
Bondar Yu.V., Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Environmental Geochemistry, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine presented an oral report “Synthesis and evaluation of nano manganese dioxide with layered structure as adsorbent for selective removal of strontium ions from aqueous solution”.
