The first lecture on the mandatory discipline

The first lecture on the mandatory discipline “Modern Educational Technologies in Higher Education” was held.

The topic of the first lecture was “Higher Education Pedagogy”.

Higher education pedagogy (HEP) is a branch of pedagogical science that studies the laws and means of organizing and implementing the educational process, development and professional training of students for their future activities and social life.

The object of HEP is the pedagogical system of higher education.

The subject of HEP is the educational process in higher education.

Structure of the Pedagogical Program:

  • general foundations of pedagogy;
  • theory of education;
  • didactics;
  • theory of management.

Teacher: Kovalenko Valentina Volodymyrivna, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Doctor of Social Sciences, Leading Researcher of the Department of Mineral Raw Materials for Nuclear Energy of the State Institution “Institute of Environmental Geochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”

The lecture was attended by graduate students of all years of study, from 1st to 4th courses. In accordance with the Director’s Order dated August 12, 2025 No. 8.

Guided by the recommendations of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education received during the accreditation of the ONP “Ecological Geology of Mineral Resources”, namely the requirements to add an educational component of pedagogical orientation to the ONP:

  • To oblige 2nd-4th year postgraduate students to study the discipline “Modern Educational Technologies in Higher Education” (3 credits) together with 1st-year postgraduate students in the period October 2025 – January 2026;
  • To establish that the result of studying “Modern Educational Technologies in Higher Education” is a credit report signed by the teacher;
  • Based on the information, develop certificates for applicants of 2nd-4th years confirming the completion of the course.
