Laboratory of Environmental Quality Assessment performs analytical tests to solve scientific and technical problems, provides expert conclusions and scientific and practical recommendations in accordance with the scientific directions of its activities: geochemical studies of soils, waters, rocks, mineral raw materials, air, objects of the biosphere, agricultural raw materials, food products, etc. ; methodology of complex geochemical and geoecological monitoring of objects natural environment and industry; methodology of substantiation of predictive and prospecting signs and criteria of mineral deposits; improvement of current methods of analysis, their adaptation to the specifics of the objects under investigation; study of the effectiveness of means and environments for cleaning soil, water and other environmental objects from pollutants.
The laboratory base includes the following devices:
- Hach Lange DR-2800 spectrophotometer;
- Ionometer Hach Conductometer Hach,
- FlaphoVar-4 flame photometer,
- Angara laser fluorescence analyzer,
- X-ray fluorescence analyzer Spectroscan,
- A-8500 spectrometer,
- Hach SensIon-6 dissolved oxygen sensor,
- Express carbon analyzer,
- Photoelectrocolorimeter KFC – 3.
The laboratory is recognized by the SE “UKRMETRTESTSTANDART” as independent of the customers using the measurement results, the laboratory has an effective measurement management system, is technically competent and capable of performing measurements according to the recognized list of measurement capabilities.
At present, the laboratory team consists of seven (together with the head) qualified specialists, of whom the following positions are held: n.s. – two specialists; M.Sc. – one; prov. Eng. – one; Eng. II cat. – two specialists.
The head of the laboratory has an academic degree – candidate of science.
All specialists have more than 10 years of experience working in the laboratory.
