On May 24, 2022, the staff of the State Institution “Institute of Environmental Geochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” held an International Seminar “Innovative Approaches for Solving Environmental Issues (IASEI-WS’2022)”. This event took place within the framework of 3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SUSTAINABLE FUTURES: ENVIRONMENTAL, TECHNOLOGICAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC MATTERS, which takes place on May 24-27, 2022. Employees of the Institute Alexander Popov, Andrew Iatsyshyn, Anna Iatsyshyn, Valeria Kovach, Valentina Kovalenko, Vladimir Artemchuk, Artur Zaporozhets, Sergey Skuratovsky were members of the Program Committee of this conference and seminar.
The participants of the conference and seminar were researchers from various scientific and educational organizations of such countries as Ukraine, USA, Germany, Georgia, Czech Republic, Romania, Indonesia, Poland, Kazakhstan and others. A total of 169 materials were submitted for participation in the conference, the collection of abstracts included 104 papers that were carefully reviewed. Submission, selection and “blind review” of conference and seminar materials took place on a specialized platform Morressier (https://www.morressier.com).
Also, the full texts of scientific reports in the form of scientific articles will be sent to the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (online ISSN: 1755-1315 / publisher: IOP Publishing) within three months after the conference.
IASEI-WS’2022 information partners were: Pure Earth (USA); Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Institute of Problems of Modeling in Energy named after G.Ye. Pukhov National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Interregional Academy of Personnel Management; Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.
IASEI-WS’2022 was conducted using the Zoom digital platform. Oleksandr Popov, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Deputy Director for Scientific and Organizational Work of the State Institution “IGNS of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” made a welcoming speech. The moderators of the seminar were the employees of the Institute: Valeria Kovach, Anna Iatsyshyn, the administration of the seminar was provided by Andriy Iatsyshyn.
At the end of the seminar the participants noted the high level of its organization, the positivity of the atmosphere, the high scientific level of research and their multidisciplinarity. Such events become a platform for creating new projects, implementing plans and generating innovative ideas. This, in turn, is the key to the balanced development of society and the development of Ukraine in the postwar period.
