Certification of candidates for the educational level of Doctor of Philosophy is carried out in the form of a public defense of a dissertation. A dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy is an independent, detailed study that proposes a solution to a complex problem in the field of Earth sciences or on its border with other specialties, the results of which have scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance. The dissertation must not contain academic plagiarism, falsification, fabrication. The dissertation must be posted on the website of the higher education institution (scientific institution). The dissertation must meet other requirements established by law.
